I want to print to the HP deskjet connected to my MAC. I have access=20
to a Photosmart 7550 and a Deskjet 5560. I can use either printer=20
connected directly to my Mac via a USB cable. I am running MAC OSX=20
10.2.8. I am connecting to a Server running Windows 2000 and on the=20
windows side we use Terminal services, on my MAC side Iam using=20
RDC. I can connect to the server over the Internet or over the cabled=20
LAN or thru a Linksys wireless on the g frequency, this is the most=20
perfered. I can print to an HP 2300 that is connected to the network=20
with a print server. I need to be able to print to a printer that has =
color=20
and can be connected directly to my MAC. Anybody got any=20
suggestions. =20

Hi Garrt!

Have you enabled local printer use in RDC?

Look for it in RDC Options --> Local Resources. You'll need to do this
before you make any connection to the Terminal Server.

Hope this helps! bill

Sounds like the same problem I am having. Windows machines seem to
recognize the printer is connected and install it. Macs don't seem to
do that. We need to find out how to make it happen.

Garry,

Thanks for your post. Mac RDC printer redirection supports PostScript
printers but not inkjet or other non-PostScript printers. There is no
workaround for this limitation, to my knowledge.
